This collection of work completed in 2022 revisits textures from my earliest projects through:
- desk recordings of six “rehearsal” tracks from the Alive in the Hall of Possibilities album (Projekt, 2020);
- two edits of long works created for exhibitions by artist friends;
- one unreleased track created for another artist friend (Christopher Houghton) that was edited especially for this collection;
- and one previously released track that fit the flow (from tʌntrə XXII, 2021).
I was drawn back to these long, layered sounds after several albums of relatively clean, synthesized textures.
Taken together, this album has a dark, brooding feel that evokes a northern winter – perhaps because these tracks were compiled, edited and mastered in Dublin, Ireland, last November.
