The core samples for these works were recorded in July and September 2019, in Parkside and Aldinga, South Australia, while brainstorming a major work for 2020. The resulting soundscapes range from abstract drones to atonal plainsong, with rhythmic elements evoking pseudo-animalistic calls.

The Extreme Quartet is Thom Buchanan, Lina Limosani, Gabriella Smart and Sean Williams.
